When you’re looking at your roof to get a repair done, there are a couple of things to think about. One of the biggest factors is money, and there are many ways to approach this. When it comes to finding a roof repair service, it can either be partial or full, and that’s the dilemma we see in this video. Roof repairs can be tough for roofers in the sense that while they want to save you money wherever they can, sometimes a full replacement is the only way to get the job done right.
Something that may affect this job is the structural integrity of the roof. Roofs are typically put together using studs, and for older homes, those studs can become very damp as the seasons go by. If the studs have any sort of significant mold on them, the firmness of your roof may be compromised. A situation that may only need a partial replacement is it the only thing that is moldy is the sheet board on top of the studs. If that is the only thing, you may be able to get away with replacing the board and the shingles and calling it a day.
